These pieces are a release of energy, an exploration into automatic mark making in search of my own visual ‘vibe.’ Freeing myself from the shackles of self-doubt cast by a combination of fear and misunderstanding of what these lines are, and could be, in favor of something more recognizable. Enjoying the play of energy, weight, space, and size in an improvisational dance of translating subconscious energy conscious action via self-trust in my ability and judgement.
